About Dakkebali seva: Men dress in a way that represents Naaga Kannike. Naaga kannike is typically played by senior vaidyas. The Vaidyaas play dakke in their palms to call upon the spirits. They initially set up the dakke at the sacred location, pray, and play music over it until the local pathris become possessed. The locals in this place considered this energy as Vana Devatha as this place is found in thick dense greenery. Being present in inner ring of Dakkebali mantapa and being part of ritual from 11pm in the night to 5am in the morning is the divine feeling and feel very privileged to be part of this whole event.
